Staying positive doesn’t mean you have to be happy all the time. It means even on the harder days, you know there are better days coming.
Thank you for taking this time to learn a little bit more about me. My name is Brooke, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois. I received my Master’s from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2014. Over the past ten years, I have had the pleasure of working with young adolescents in high school and college, youth in care, middle aged adults, as well as pregnant and postpartum mothers.
My current line of work, outside of Crescent Moon is working closely with the perinatal population as a Perinatal Family Support Specialist. I provide a wide array of services to women & their families who encounter challenges related to pregnancy, birth, and loss. While I have found a very strong and dedicated passion for this particular field, I have a special interest in working with mothers who are considering a potential adoption plan.
On a personal note, I know choosing to move forward with an adoption plan is NEVER easy. An adoption journey is a lifelong journey with its share of joy and challenges along the way.
As an individual clinician, I focus my line of work on utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness. I am committed to being the best clinician and support liaison I can be for you. All you need is a lending hand, and I look forward to being that lending hand with you on your journey ahead.
If you are ready to begin your first steps toward perinatal mental health, book an appointment with Crescent Moon Therapy.
