“No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.”

-Buddha Gautama

My name is Elizabeth, and I am currently receiving my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University in River Forest.  Like most mental health professionals, my reasons for going into counseling relate to my own personal history and life experiences – I want to help people grow beyond their past and into the best version of themselves.

I have personal experience with chronic illness and pain as well as PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome).  I know how much chronic conditions can disrupt life, and how out of balance hormones can sometimes make you feel as if your emotions are out of control.  I also identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community and understand the importance of accepting and loving yourself as you are.

I aim to have an approach to therapy that embraces the holistic nature of individuals; there are so many things in life that affect us for better or worse, and these factors deserve to be acknowledged.  As a therapist, I want to make clients feel safe, comforted, and grounded before we collaborate to figure out where we want to go with your therapeutic journey.  Through our therapeutic relationship, I hope to facilitate emotional and relational experiences that are reparative in nature.

If you are ready to begin your first steps toward perinatal mental health, book an appointment with Crescent Moon Therapy.
