About Me

As a therapist, it is my life's work to join clients on their journey to self-discovery and to walk alongside them as they navigate hardship.

My name is Carolyn, I’m a Licensed Social Worker and Perinatal Mental Health Specialist. I genuinely enjoy listening to people's life stories and believe every person deserves an authentic and empathic space where they can feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Prior to my work in private practice, I gained experience through supporting pregnant and parenting teens, attending DONA International’s birth doula training, and navigating clients within OB/GYN offices to mental health resources.

Parenthood is seldom what we expect it to be and can often be intertwined with immense feelings of grief, resentment, and overwhelm. My personal experience as a mother provided a deeper understanding of the mental health implications related to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I fiercely believe it’s a journey that should never be shouldered alone.

In therapy, I utilize several different approaches including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, and humanistic therapy. In addition to theory, my therapeutic style is compassionate, genuine, and client-centered.
